Zimmerman feels good hitting off tee

Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman, who is on the disabled list because of an inflamed right shoulder, took swings off a batting tee without any pain on Friday. According to manager Davey Johnson, from a scale of one to 100, Zimmerman swung the bat 75 percent.

Still sore, Zimmerman seeing specialist in LA

Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman will visit the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic this weekend in Los Angeles and likely receive another cortisone shot in the sore right shoulder that has kept him out of the lineup since Saturday.
