Nationals agree to trade Willingham to A's

A baseball source has confirmed that the Nationals have agreed on a deal to send Josh Willingham to the Athletics. It's not known who the Nats are receiving in return.

While Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo talked about Josh Willingham as one of the team's middle of the order hitters in 2011, a second source told MLB.com that Willingham will most likely be traded before the start of the '11 season.

Agent Matt Sosnick said there isn't any hard feelings toward the Nationals, who have decided not to offer his client, outfielder Josh Willingham, a multiyear deal.
