Nationals' Hairston suspended for one game

The Nationals' Jerry Hairston Jr. has received a one-game suspension and an undisclosed fine for his argument with home-plate umpire Ed Hickox on Friday. Hairston has elected to appeal and can play until a decision is reached.

Four Minor Leaguers received 50-game suspensions on Tuesday after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
