Hairston starts rehab assignment in Double-A

Infielder/outfielder Jerry Hairston Jr., on the disabled list because of a fractured right wrist, started a rehab assignment for Double-A Harrisburg on Friday. He was expected to play seven innings and nine innings the next two games.

Harris, Bernadina get starts in series finale

Manager Jim Riggleman decided to give center fielder Nyjer Morgan the day off against Cardinals right-hander Adam Wainwright on Sunday. Instead, Riggleman put Roger Bernadina in center and Willie Harris in right.
