Neck irritation limits length of Livan's outing

Livan Hernandez tossed four shutout innings Saturday, but he'd have pitched longer if not for minor neck irritation that is not expected to impact his next start.

Zimmermann scratched with stiff neck

Nationals right-hander Jordan Zimmermann was scratched for Monday's start with Class A Potomac because of a stiff neck. He will be evaluated Tuesday.

Guzman scratched with stiff neck

Nationals second baseman Cristian Guzman was scratched from the lineup in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the O's, because of a stiff neck. Instead Adam Kennedy, who went 2-for-4, received the start.
