Wang nears return to Majors

Nationals right-hander Chien-Ming Wang more than likely made his last rehab start on Sunday afternoon. He lasted five innings for Triple-A Syracuse and allowed four runs on eight hits against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Wang threw 96 pitches, with 63 for strikes.

Righty Rodriguez's arrival nears

Nationals right-hander Henry Rodriguez is expected to report to Spring Training on Saturday. He has missed most of the team's workouts because of visa problems.

Nationals optimistic as Spring Training nears

Pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training on Tuesday, and there is optimism at Space Coast Stadium in Viera, Fla., because general manager Mike Rizzo did everything he could this offseason to make sure the Nationals don't have another fifth-place finish in the NL East in 2011.
