Minor League managers, coordinators named

The Nationals named their Minor League managers and coordinators for the 2012 season. The Nats promoted two managers, elevating Tony Beasley from Double-A Harrisburg to Triple-A Syracuse and Matthew LeCroy from Class A Potomac to Harrisburg.

Colleli named Nationals' Honorary Bat Girl

Cathy Colleli, an Oleny, Md., resident and breast cancer survivor, was named the Nationals' winner of the 2011 Honorary Bat Girl Contest, the club and Major League Baseball announced Monday.

The Nationals' honorary bat girl on Monday will be Cathy Colleli of Olney, Md., who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009. Colleli's sister, Sheri, died of the disease in 2003, but her own prognosis is excellent after undergoing surgery and chemo treatments last year
