Defensive miscues prove costly for Nats

The Nationals lost their fifth consecutive on Saturday, this one a 6-3 loss to the Reds at Great American Ball Park. Washington dropped to 62-69.

Nationals focused on cutting down on miscues

Washington made 33 errors in the past 37 games entering Sunday. Ten came in just two games — an 11-5 loss to the Angels on June 25 and an 11-1 loss to the Braves on July 15.
