Morse, Ramos getting some time to heal

Michael Morse is expected to be out a few more games because of a right lat (back) strain. There is no timetable for when he will be back on the field. Morse did not play in a Minor League game on Thursday.

Injured Morse getting better

Nationals slugger Michael Morse, who has played only one Spring Training game because of a strained lat (back) muscle, shagged fly balls on Friday at Space Coast Stadium, but was not allowed to throw.

Rendon getting some work in at second base

Infielder Anthony Rendon, the Nationals' first-round pick in the 2011 First-Year Player Draft, was seen working at second base with Triple-A Syracuse manager Tony Beasley on Thursday.

LaRoche getting closer to baseball activities

Nationals first baseman Adam LaRoche said his injured left shoulder is getting better on Wednesday, and he is expected to start baseball activities in mid-November.

Zimmerman getting back in groove for Nats

Ryan Zimmerman is 19-for-59 (.322) with 10 runs and five RBIs in 14 games since the All-Star break, and he hit safely in each of the past eight games entering Sunday.
