Right-hander Stephen Strasburg pitched six scoreless innings and helped the Nationals win their season finale, 3-1, on Wednesday in the final Major League baseball game played at Sun Life Stadium.

Stephen Strasburg and Chris Volstad will be the last two pitchers to start a big league game at Sun Life Stadium. The Florida Marlins will move into a new stadium next season and will be known as the Miami Marlins.

Detwiler, Nats blank Braves in home finale

Left-hander Ross Detwiler showed that he could get out of jams as the Nationals blanked the Braves, 3-0, on Fan Appreciation Day at Nationals Park on Sunday afternoon. Washington took two out of three from Atlanta and finished the season 44-36 at home.

Strasburg scheduled to start season finale

Barring an injury or a rain delay, Nationals right-hander Stephen Strasburg will start Friday against the Braves and face the Marlins in the last game of the season Wednesday. Catcher Ivan Rodriguez will start in the season finale.
