After two days, Ramos rescued in Venezuela

Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos was found safely in Venezuela on Friday night and was on his way home after being kidnapped more than 50 hours earlier.

LaRoche sidelined for a few days

First baseman Adam LaRoche is expected to be sidelined for the next three games because of a sore left shoulder. He had an MRI on the shoulder two days ago and has not received the results.

Strasburg won't throw for three or four days

Nats phenom Stephen Strasburg will not throw for the next three or four days, and his right shoulder will be reevaluated by the team after that. It is doubtful he will make his next scheduled start.

Desmond's days batting eighth are over

Looking to get more offense at the top of the lineup, manager Jim Riggleman had shortstop Ian Desmond hit second instead of eighth in the order on Tuesday against the Reds.

Strasburg to get extra days off in second half

Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo said that right-hander Stephen Strasburg will pitch every five days until the All-Star break. After that, there are two different scenarios that could happen.
