Experience matters as Nats' Draft continues

Right-hander Cole Kimball continues to show that he is deserving of a spot on the Nationals' Opening Day roster. He made his sixth relief appearance of the spring Wednesday, pitching two shutout innings in an 8-7 loss to the Astros.

Marquis continues to shine in spring action

Nationals right-hander Jason Marquis pitched five innings, allowed one run on three hits, struck out four and walked two in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Tigers. Shortstop Ian Desmond went 3-for-4 with an RBI single.

Zimmermann's outstanding spring continues

Nationals right-hander Jordan Zimmermann had his best outing of the spring Sunday, pitching five shutout innings, allowing three hits, striking out two and walking one.
