Nats can't hold down leads in series finale

The Nationals and Braves found themselves in a slugfest at Turner Field on Sunday afternoon. But it was the Braves who prevailed, 9-8, thanks to an RBI single by Freddie Freeman in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Nats can't back Livan, fall to Hamels, Phillies

Michael Morse's seventh-inning solo homer was all Washington got off Cole Hamels as Livan Hernandez and the Nationals, who outpitched the pitching-rich World Series champion Giants over the weekend, fell back below the .500 mark with a 4-1 loss to the Phillies on Tuesday night.
