Bernadina resting with lower back tightness

Nationals outfielder Roger Bernadina is not in the lineup against the Mets on Sunday. He is still recovering from lower back tightness and is expected to play on Tuesday night against the Padres.

Capps earns first All-Star Game appearance

Add the phrase, All-Star, to Matt Capps resume. The Nationals' closer was added to the National League All-Star Team on Sunday afternoon. It will be the first of his big league career.

Zimmerman looks to be fans' final choice

Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman has a chance to make his second All-Star appearance, as he was named one of the finalists in the 2009 All-Star Game Sprint Final Vote on Sunday.
